Why This Workshop
This session will support educators in implementing explicit spelling instruction in their classrooms. An overview of English orthography and the ways in which it is a rule-governed writing system will be provided to anchor the learning. Educators will understand how the morphophonemic English language impacts spelling and learn program-agnostic principles and strategies for effective spelling instruction.
